What is Jiu Jitsu?
Jiu Jitsu is a grappling martial art, similar to Wrestling and Judo, that uses momentum, leverage and proper technique to overcome stronger opponents. The efficiency of Jiu Jitsu was displayed for the world in the early stages of UFC, the biggest Mixed Martial Art event. Years later our discipline still proves itself to be dominant at the highest level of competitions. Our techniques are combined with a variety of takedowns, controls, escapes, chokes, armlocks and more. Traditional training is practiced in uniforms known as a gis or kimonos. There are numerous sets of skills that are based on our uniforms, adding another layer of depth to the grappling game. Self-defense moves are practiced in gi but precisely modified for more of real-life scenarios.
